On my own for lunch, I thought I’d enjoy the cool shade of our back patio.
I recently found this vintage style Ralph Lauren tablecloth at Marshalls
and found this Better Homes and Gardens
Quart Jar Caddy at Walmart
I filled four quart jars with red roses,
blue verbena and mock orange flowers.
and I thought they’d make a charming background for an Alfresco Lunch.
I chose my blue-flowered English Ironstone plate
(not sure its name),
a ruby red dessert plate
my daughter’s vintage silver
and a vintage Victorian scene tumbler for my dishware.
and a white battenburg lace napkin
I had just received my copy of Garden Spells,
by Sarah Addison Allen.

I enjoyed my leisurely alfresco lunch –
