Home and Garden Thursday
temperatures are being cut by awe-inspiring afternoon and evening
thunderstorms – I am thankful for the rain and that so far all
is well here. This week my theme is Gardening. With the extreme heat and
dry weather, some of my flowers have been drastically affected. Even some
of the liriope look burned. Which ones are resilient and which ones are
not are being noted so I can plan Fall rearrangements.
I am also considering placing pockets of Cutting Gardens in the landscape to
give me the blossoms I love to bring in for flower arrangements. I
shared with you more about that here.
Oh, could one ever find too much to say about the wonderful Anne of Green Gables.
Last week I jumped the gun on Sandi at Rose Chintz Cottage’s tea party celebration
of L.M. Montgomery’s wonderful novel, Anne of Green Gables. This week I did
a Part II post – I shared snippets of chapter 16 where Anne invites Diana over
for tea…and the results. Such fun!
I would like to thank Heather and Vanessa from At The Picket Fence
for their outstanding guest post. I appreciate them giving us a glimpse into
how they work together to produce such a dynamic blog! I know many
of you were enlightened and inspired.
I was given the opportunity to review the first episode of Craft Wars
a couple weeks back and they shared with me earlier this week more
information, photos and a sneak peek! I was delighted to share with you.
Just the thought of having access to that Michael’s Craft Closet sends
my mind reeling! Have you seen the show! Do you like it? I am looking
forward to their craft challenges each week and to see if the contestants
do what I might do or if the judges evaluate the way I would. That’s how I
enjoy these types of shows.
Thank you so much to all who participated in last week’s party – and to all who’ve
joined in over the last few weeks – months. With the number of terrific
blog parties available to join I am honored by your presence.
