Pinterest Inspired
I participated in the last one and did a multiple copycat. I was changing the decor in the kitchen, and was inspired to do this

So, the elements I have to work with are somewhat similar and dissimilar- to begin with I painted our mantel in our bedroom a faux dark wood to match the doors. Also, I did not have a chippy window frame, but I did have a few old picture frames I recently picked up ant an estate sale. Also, I did not have wooden LOVE letters. It didn’t seem a realistic trip to the store – one hour round trip just to get wooden letters – so…I drew some and posted them in the center of the frames.

I am living my dream. Blessed with a wonderful husband I call Dearest and three amazing children, plus an awesome son-in-law, I find joy in creating a Delightsome life for us all. Now an 'Empty Nester', I find my passions in decorating, gardening, crafting, cooking and woven throughout the fabric of my life is my faith in God and my LORD Jesus Christ.

I was just putting a book or two on my bookshelves earlier and ‘had’ to turn the pages out b/c of their size and orientation to the shelf. Then, saw your post. I like the books turned now and then. Love your treasures and display. I was scrolling down and one of the books caught my eye, reminded me of the book I turned out “Leaves of Gold”. (Yours is the book under the caption about these are my favorite…).
Enjoyed my visit.
I’m posting about mom’s embroidery swatches (vintage). Hope you can stop by.
Happy Pink Saturday! Thanks,Jenn
So nice, you did well apart from the colour, it’s almost exact. x
Oh this is just lovely! I too did something similar to my fantle (faux mantle) inspired by Donna of Funky Junk. I ripped the covers off of a few paperbacks but I LOVE how you just simply turned your books around! Brilliant!
How pretty Kathy! I tell ya every where I turn you creative cats inspire me even more. Thanks for sharing.
You did a great copy on your mantel. Isn’t this such a fun party?
I can’t find where to link for YOUR party today. :…..

Really quite lovely, Kathy! Thank you for sharing this at the Make it Pretty Monday party at The Dedicated House. Hope to see your prettiness again on Monday. Toodles, Kathryn @TheDedicatedHouse
What a great mantel. It’s so neat to get inspiration from the web. One never knows where it might take you. Love all of that tarnished silver.
Wonderful to have you at Seasonal Sundays.
