Home and Garden Thursday
I am so honored by you all who share your blogs and posts here at A Delightsome Life. This has been a good week filled with the joys and enchantments of spring.
Surrounded by the lovely sunshine, the singing birds and gorgeous flowers in my garden, I took my morning tea outdoors to our front porch. I made Orange Zest Scones and Wild Sweet Orange tea – for my floral arrangement, I took pink and peach colored flowers combined with Mock Orange blossoms and surrounded them with oranges in the chippy, white basket – a complete enchantment for my spring morning.
Dearest doesn’t like left-overs, so when I have anything left-over, I try to create something new and delicious. Last week I shared Loaded Potato and Buffalo Chicken Casserole, this week I shared Chicken and Roasted Potato Salad – we love warm roasted potatoes on top of our salad – a complete meal.
One of the easiest ways to safeguard your blog’s photos is to place a watermark on them. I shared how and why I created a transparent watermark with the © symbol and changed my ‘signature’ to be my URL.
I am so grateful to the good folks at Google, who after receiving our requests – Judith’s, Ruth’s, Bernideen’s and mine, took down a junk website filled with scraped posts and malware links.
All in all a great week – I hope yours has been Delightsome – here are the HIGHLIGHTS from last week’s party:
Poppy at Poppy View shared her ‘Happy Kitchen’ with us – she had the most views – I love all the gorgeous cabinetry detail, the decor – all together a gloriously happy kitchen.
Debbie at Got It At Goodwill shared some very creative recreating with things she found at Goodwill – love this colander planter – you should see the wooden shoe!
Leslie at Lamberts Lately shared this wonderful recipe. This is pure serendipity – I had been looking for this recipe and was going to make it for our church’s anniversary. I didn’t because there were so many desserts already, but I will surely make this for Sunday dinner – doesn’t it look delicious!
Carmen at Country Blessings shared with us her pondering of a family that built and lived in this old stone house having found the name Alice and date carved into a stone foundation. I too wonder about the past lives of those who lived in old homes.
Sarah at Linley House shared this intriguing, low calorie dish as part of her Spring Slim-down. I am intrigued – looks delicious!
Susan at Ashtree Cottage shared her spring entryway decor – this hat rack – having been in the family for years holds gorgeous items including some nostalgic pieces – really love the look!
Jennifer at Decorated Chaos created this stand from Thrifted finds – you’ll be amazed! I think it is gorgeous!
Now, I don’t normally do this-choose a favorite, but this painting and this story totally captivated my heart. Poppy at Poppy View shared this artwork and its lovely relationship to her mother.
