Home and Garden Thursday
These past few days have been a flurry of activity. Who needs a gym when you have a ladder and have to up and down, up and down – stretch and reach. I truly was wishing I was taller and had a longer reach when I was painting our kitchen – I was getting pretty fatiqued. Seeing my kitchen transform before me kept me going. There’s a few more details to complete – a few things on order – I am trying to be patient! I did have a revelation though, as I was moving things out and then back into the kitchen and cleaning out other rooms at the same time, I was wondering why I kept some of the things I was moving around and storing – I decided to do a serious purging and have boxes filled awaiting transport to Goodwill – it feels good to have things lighter and brighter in some of these rooms.
I think this is part of my favorite view of the hutch – the contrast of the white, the wall color and the beautiful red. The plates above the hutch I have had for a while – they’re Country Living plates that were purchased at KMart. You can see more here.
All fo my hard work and activity prompted me to take a day of rest – I really, really wanted to push forward to get done, but I knew that my body, mind and spirit needed a day of rest – to be better prepared for the days ahead.
