Home and Garden Thursday
This has been an unintentionally light week for me, so far, I had some technical difficulties and a good surprise. I also had to attend meetings on days I’d normally be sharing, so in balance all things do work together for good.
Last Saturday was supposed to be a family cookout organized by my son. He wanted all my children to get together, now that they’re grown and all doing their own thing, getting together as a family has become less frequent. I really was looking forward to this. Little did I know that for two months my son had conspired with my siblings and other family members to throw me a surprise birthday party – early. My birthday falls on December 24 and I will turn 50. That’s a difficult time to get people together – so I had not expected anything. They surprised me beautifully – I wept like a baby when I saw my sisters. It was such a wonderful day. I am so thankful.
