Home and Garden Thursday
I hope you all had a lovely and blessed Mother’s Day. My sweet family gifted me with an IPad Mini! Yippee! Back story: a couple weeks back I mentioned to Dearest and our youngest daughter that for the upcoming Haven Conference – Yep, I’m going – first year – apparently having Instagram would be very important. I thought I might end up borrowing a phone, IPod or IPad – since I’m a plain Jane phone girl right now…soooo they all got together and pitched in and purchased an IPad Mini! It’s adorable! I’ve ordered a blue case with pink flowers ! (insert squeel-so glad there’s cuteness in protection out there!) I’ve been learning Instagram and am hooked! I’ve also tried Waterlogue (thanks Kathryn) – Oh, My…the possibilities! I’m going to have to control myself! Also last week I visited my dear friends The Curreys while they hosted a tour of their organic farm, Elm Street Gardens, I attended a Garden Party (that song wants to pop in my head whenever I write/say that!) And I painted the awnings at the front porch – post and pictures soon to come. Let me say that was tedious, hot work! But, I was motivated and happy with my little IPod Shuffle!
Here’s what I shared with you since last week’s party:
Anyone want a cookie? When Dearest wants a cookie, it’s The Classic Oatmeal Cookie – loaded down with raisins and pecans!
I shared a round up of Mother’s Day breakfast ideas…they’re good for any day or weekend brunch too!
I mused on the fact that despite not sounding like a southerner, that I’m actually one and shared how Dearest and I met.
I took you on a virtual tour of my dear friends, They Currey’s garden and their organic garden, The Elm Street Gardens.
