Serene SundayHe Will Finish What He Started

I am one to have numerous projects started and have not quite finished. It takes time to get these projects done, but sometimes life gets in the way and they have to be put on hold. Some things get finished and some still remain as they say, ‘on the back burner’. That’s something I’m working on improving!

With God – we can be assured He’ll finish what He started.

In the beginning, God created a marvelously wonderful world for us. He intended a very personal relationship with us. But, that relationship and the affect on our world was broken because of sin. God knew this before creation and had a plan.

Jesus Christ

Knowing that the very personal relationship they wished to have with us would be broken by sin that would affect all Mankind and the world itself, God had a plan of reconciliation. The cost to the plan would be great, but God was willing.

Amazing Love Amazing Plan

Payment is due for every sin by everyone. That’s a tremendous debt, one only God could pay. And Jesus Christ did that, freely and willingly for all. This was a very heavy and difficult payment as Christ demonstrated on the cross, yet he stayed there and followed through. They finished what they started.

It Will Get Better

God’s amazing love and grace toward Mankind has extended for thousands of years. He is willing that all have an opportunity to choose Him through accepting the freely offered payment for sin by Jesus Christ. And in time, at an appointed time, all will be made new and right again. What God started when He created this earth and all Mankind will be finished – He finishes what He starts. That’s wonderful, comforting news. We can joyfully go through our days, if we have accepted the free gift of Salvation. We can love others through Christ, we can also anticipate that those we love who’ve gone on before us – we’ll see again. And we can anticipate that some day all things will be as God intended.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:” Philippians 1:6

“And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” Revelation 21:1-8
