The Amazing Fun we had at The Country Living Fair

the blog:

For several years now I have been looking forward to a wonderful annual event in October – The Country Living Fair at Stone Mountain. I look forward to spending time with my daughters, daughter-in-law, and sister! Each year we anticipate seeing our favorite vendors and finding beautiful artisanal home decor and crafts!

The Amazing Fun we had at The Country Living Fair!

Fall is such a gorgeous time to enjoy the beautiful outdoors and Stone Mountain Park is the perfect place for this annual event! Nestled in the trees we find paths lined with so many incredible vendors! Several come back from year to year and we’ve developed a fondness for a number of them! My daughter’s love Mag Soul Sista’s headbands and this year my daughter got matching sets for herself and my granddaughter!

Three Days of Incredible Shopping and Demonstrations

Some have asked me just what is The Country Living Fair. Well, It’s a fair sponsored by Country Living Magazine and it really does seem like you’ve taken the pages of Country Living and stepped right through. Each vendor shares amazing vintage finds, creative crafts, beautiful home decorations and artisanal foods, jewelry, and soaps! There were about 200 vendors along several winding paths!

Fair goers didn’t let a little chill in the air or some rain dampen their enthusiasm. We were there Saturday and Sunday. The place was packed with happy shoppers!

One of the cutest displays was this vintage Volkswagon Beetle with it’s trunk filled with dried Hydrangeas! Simply gorgeous! These vendors go all out in creating stunning displays!

Several set beautiful tablescapes where you could just imagine yourself recreating for your own home. I love how each year there’s something new…

Trends Seen at the Country Living Fair

Several vendors had different versions of these arched window frames. I saw several fair goers carrying them out in various sizes. I love that boxwood wreaths and topiaries are still popular too! They make a stunning combination.

Beautiful farmhouse style tables and chairs were everywhere! I just loved this collection of chairs! And those chunky leg!

Lanterns of all types were displayed – I loved this simple rustic lantern.

French bread boards, tobacco baskets, spindle candlesticks, and French grain sack ticking were also plentiful!

Pillows anyone?

Lover of vintage trucks? How about signs, pillows or rustic decoration? They had them!

What did I get?

Well this year, I tried hard to restrain myself. My goal was to find perfect Christmas gifts…so, I can’t share – yet. And my daughters found some amazing things for me for Christmas…and, well, they’re holding on to them until then! I can’t wait to share with you!

Have you attended any of the Country Living Fairs? If so, where and what’s you’re favorite thing about attending? If not…keep an eye out for the 2019 Country Living Fair calendar…there’s a fair scheduled throughout the year from New York to Georgia! They’re all well worth planning a trip. You can do like we do – make it a girl’s weekend together!
