Adding Another Cute Santa to the Christmas Decor
I just love the sweet expression on this Santa. When I saw him, I knew, hoped he would be mine!
Our Annual Christmas Party
We once again hosted our annual Christmas party. We invite our church family, family and friends to our home to celebrate the joy of Christmas. I do the decorating and the cooking…I feel as if I set the stage for Dearest to entertain. Dearest takes care of keeping the party flowing with the food, games, songs, devotional and did I mention games.
Ornament Exchange Game
Each year we ask our guests to bring an ornament to exchange at the party. We practice the game as such: each person who brings a gift draws a number. Dearest keeps track and then next person on the list can either draw from the gifts under the tree or ‘steal’ a gift that had already been opened. This can be great fun! It’s interesting to see which gift becomes popular! When it came time to draw for my number – I was LAST! Do you know what that means! I had my pick of any of the gifts! For the previous years, I had been trying to get a Santa – one of our guests usually brings these amazing Santas! I KNEW this was my year! And this Santa was PERFECT!
I now have that song dancing in my imagination. When it came time for me to select my gift! I swooped Mr. Santa and placed him in the dining room! He fit perfectly there! Just as if He was made to decorate our dining room!
I set him at first on the painted chest. Then the next day arranged him with the tiny Christmas tree I’d made. I found this faux tin box at the Habitat Resale store. I love how they look together!
This Santa is so very beautiful! The perfect blue, white and silver coloring to accentuate the blue and silver decorating our dining room! He just seems to have been made four our little room!
I believe this sweet Santa adds beautifully to our dining room’s Christmas decor.
I look forward to the years ahead placing him in different areas of the room…it’s fun decorating and making the dining room festive for Christmas. This sweet little Santa adds just the right whimsy and charm.
