It was on Valentine’s Day in 1987 that Dearest asked me to marry him.
long before that scene was dreamed of in Pride and Prejudice…one of our favorite movies.
It was a simple affair – both of us far from home – we married at our church just four months later. Not only did we plan all the details to our wedding, but Dearest chose my wedding dress.
It was fun, there were a few glitches – the wedding was 45 minutes late – one of the causes was the florist I chose left out an important part of my order, the flowers for the wedding cake. I had wanted real flowers – so off I went in search of flowers – me!
Actually, our life has been filled with a lot of laughter since. Three children later, a few moves here and there – our love for one another continues to grow. What’s more, we have a few sayings that are just between us.
Are just a couple one liners, in fun and in love…just between us.
A lot of the times we embarrass our children – by our expressions of love. But, to me, I think it brings them joy and security knowing how much we love each other and hopefully an example for what they can look forward to.
We work together, we plan together, we play together and we love our life together. God has blessed us so much.
that we planted our feet – metaphorically – long ago knowing that no matter what we would work through any and every thing together and we placed God in the center of our relationship and of our home. A threefold cord cannot be broken.
Dearest gave me a wonderful compliment many years ago. We were laughing and talking and he looked at me and said, ‘when we get to heaven I hope God gives me a home right next to yours’. Forever love.
but they have been ones that taught us things and made us stronger. What soever is ….think on these things; love beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things and endureth all things...
as long as we practice what God has taught us about love. I know, someday we will rejoice with joy of our life here on earth and laugh and sing a lot in eternity.
This is a simple craft. You can take any memory or scrapbook album and make it yours. Cover the book with your craft paper of choice. I chose white to blend with the graphic. I found this graphic frame and romantic graphic with the doves at The Graphics Fairy. The font I used was Pinyon Script. I used Pixlr to layer the graphics and to add the font.

February Garden Chores The weather in Georgia can swing on the pendulum of extremes. Last week, we experienced a rare snow storm that adversely affected a number of areas. In my corner of the world, it was quiet and peaceful. I definitely prefer country living to city living. Saturday was a beautiful day – a […]
Here Comes The Sun I so enjoyed my snow day yesterday. I walked around, took pictures, watched the birds and made a snowman! Poor little Olaf…looks pretty sad! But, I did have fun! Later that night my body ached…I thought, I’m just not a kid anymore, although my enthusiasm yesterday was childlike. Today, the snow […]
Waiting For Snow This afternoon the buzz in Georgia is snow. I just heard that we’re now under an official Winter Storm Watch. It’s amazing to realize that as the bright sunny days are being changed over with the coming clouds that the landscape outside my window can look drastically different. I am looking forward […]
