Getting Caught Up
Every day there’s so much put before us. The news is filled, and refilled, about four times an hour of all the bad news. The television and radio fill our minds with ideas, wants, thoughts…pushing us. Then there’s the Internet – there’s so much available there – both good and bad. We can get so caught up in so much…that we may set aside or forget the most important thing.
To know God More
When Christ left this earth he left us a promise…if we accept Christ as our Savior we have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. This Spirit teaches us, comforts us, and nudges us – toward God. That feeling you get of I need to read more, pray more, meditate more…comes from Him.
God allows us to do daily what we will. He does desire a closer relationship with Him. It is up to us to read, to dig deeper, to pray and to fellowship with others.
To know how to live better in this life we need to spend more time with God. We need to step back and review the amount of time we give away to things that don’t matter in the long run. It happens to us all. We
get caught up in the daily cares of this life and we can set aside what’s most important.
How we spend our time is so very important. So, today, have you paused to read and to pray. Have you asked God to show you where you need to make some adjustments in your life. Or have you asked Him how you can be a blessing to others? What do you want to know more about…things that pass away – or God.
