We interplanted daffodils with the sage, which is growing quite nicely and surprisingly has a few blooms. Normally it blooms from September to frost.
I love the pink and red together – to me they are quite striking.
I took these photos Sunday afternoon, later we discovered that someone or something fell into the deeper rosebush twisting it and causing it to lean forward. We did some repair work and are waiting to see if there’s much permanent damage – I think it is pretty resilient, but it may lose a few branches.

One of our neighbors who had come by while our house was on a tour
