week 3 – Blog Decor!
Over these past few years I have met some amazing people through blogging – among these people are the kindest and most helpful you’ll find – they truly wish you to excell in your blogging and in any area of your life. My first ‘feature’ this week has to be the newly updated look to my blog. As many of you know, I took the plunge over a month ago moving my blog from Blogger to WordPress. I was able to do that myself with the help of Kristi Linauer’s Ebook tutorial – she gives you specific step by step instructions that carry you all the way through. I have returned to her blog, Addicted 2 Decorating a number of times for extra pointers and visited her business site -Linauer Designs. There I looked at her extensive portfolio of blogs and websites she’s designed – each I could tell reflected the owner’s signature style. After playing around on Pixlr with pictures and colors, I decided to contact Kristi to see if she could make my blog design dreams come true and she did. I am thrilled with the design and the features now available to my blog – a gallery page – Cottage Crafts (I am still updating photos) and more – that I will share with you soon. If you’d like to take your blog a step further and you’d thought about owning your site…Kristi Linauer can help you reach your dreams.
Here’s what I shared with you this past week:
I am pleased to offer a marvelous GIVEAWAY sponsored by Mrs. Smith’s Pies. The new Mrs. Smith Signature Deep Dish pies are sure to please your family and your guests. You can win a coupon for a free pie and a $50 Gift Card to William Sonoma.
Inspired by the musical, “An American In Paris” I made for Dearest and myself Brioche. He loved it.
My new bath towels arrived – from both sources – I am so excited. I prewashed the towels…both Dearest and my daughter loved them too. I share more with you here.
“And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee; for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”
Home and Garden Features:
Betsy Speert has a marvelous eye for beautiful things. She takes you through the lovely things found to bring together this beautiful powder room at her friend’s home.
There have been some amazing Christmas decor shared in these past few months. Many of you have already transformed your decor to reflect the romantic holiday of Valentines. Diane at An Extraordinary Day shared her quick and easy transformation. It’s quite gorgeous. Also, I am asking those Prayer Warriors out there to join her in praying for a new job for her husband.
Laurie from Heaven’s Walk shared with us this amazing workbench she found at a great deal and how her husband altered it to fit her studio/office – using Miss Mustardseed Milk paint and styling it so beautifully – Laurie shares the joy in her new find with some gorgeous photos.
With Valentines just around the corner, many of you are showing your creativity in decor. Kathy at Life on Lakeshore Drive has been making terrific use of her creative frame – LOVE IT! From the original, to Christmas and now to Valentines – looks lovely!

Oh Kathy….tears are spilling down my face as I write this. I am delighted that you like my little bit of Valentine’s decor. But, more…..I am overwhelmed that you would ask your readers to join in and pray for us. That means so very much. We got another ‘stomach punch’ on Monday. To know that we are being buoyed by the caring prayers of others fills my heart with joy. Thank you! Thank you!!!
