Last week when I saw Trish’s Robin’s Egg Blue Easter Egg Wreath on Uncommon Designs, I knew this is something I wanted to create.
She took the already multi-colored easter eggs and spray painted them Robins Egg Blue. Love the color against the woodgrain of the door and the burlap bow.
When I saw the multi-colored Easter eggs at Walmart (she found hers at Hobby Lobby), I loved their color and decided to keep them as they were.
Our home is a dark grey and I thought the multi-colored eggs would stand out better from the street – especially since the background is an old screen door.
I also found a lighter colored wired burlap ribbon at Walmart – loved the softer color to complement the color of the eggs.
I wired Spanish moss (I found a large bag at a local Pikes Nursery) to the grapevine wreath – I have a feeling either a house Wren will find this a good place to nest or they’ll find this good nesting material – I don’t mind either.
It is fun to find crafty inspiration in Blogland and in Pinterest. March is National Craft Month – I have decided to fill my March days with fun spring-time crafts.
This project took four packages of the multi-colored easter eggs – under $3 each; green florist wire, Spanish Moss, wired burlap ribbona a grapevine wreath and hot glue – couldn’t be much simpler for such a lovely and fun craft.

Non seulement on a envie de les manger, mais en plus c’est vraiment très beau !…

I really like both wreaths Kathy and I can see where leaving your eggs as purchased makes them more visible. Very pretty!! Enjoy the weekend. Pamela
I really like your colors, Kathy! And the speckles on the eggs. With a backdrop of an old beautiful screen door, it looks perfect.
I love this wreath. I like the robins egg blue, but the multicoloured pastels suit your house much better. Love this. I may have to sneak out and get some for myself
now where’s my glue gun?
Very pretty. I also love the old hinges on your screen door and shingles on your house. What a lovely home you have!

Your wreath is so pretty….I laughed because i put some of the moss around a plant, and it is almost totally gone….the birdies loved it!!
Your wreath turned out great! I love the multicolored eggs and burlap bow!
Your wreath is so pretty Kathy! I love those speckled eggs. I might have been tempted to get those if I had seen them when I made my wreath. It seems we were thinking along similar lines.
