Home and Garden Thursday
May is marching right along! We’ve had an unusual beginning to this month. It has been rainy and colder than normal. I would love it if the summer was milder as well. It’s May and that means I am celebrating A Delightsome Life’s blogiversary by hosting my 4th annualDelightsome Cottage Charm Giveaway! I hope you’ve had opportunity to stop by and to enter my giveaway.
This year, my giveaway is inspired by the roses on this Staffordshire teacup. All of the other gifts are made by me.
Here are the things I shared with you last week:
I painted this candelabra white and let it sit for a while, until I was inspired to glue on clay pots and make it a whimsical bird feeder.
While the soft rain was nourishing my gardens, I made this Homemade Granola full of wonderful ingredients to nourish my family.
For my tea-time post, I shared with you my new-found interest in Downton Abbey. Yes, late to the party, but most glad. Dearest and I have come to enjoy watching all three seasons, which I checked out from our local library system.
Here are the HIGHLIGHTS from last week’s party:
Silvina at Tazas y Cuentos (Cups and Stories) shared her beautifully transformed boxes. She photo copied favorite images from story books and applied them to these boxes – inside and out!
If you didn’t get a chance to see Sarah’s garden in her post from Hyacinth’s For The Soul, you’ll just love it – beautiful!
You’ll love the story behind Fabby’s gorgeous crocheted tablecloth and the lovely tablescape inspired by it at Fabby’s Living
This beautifully crafted cake could easily fool anyone to believe that it’s real! Shannon at a Cozy Place Called Home shared a tutorial on how she created this delicious looking wonder.
Patti at Old Things New shared this amazing transformation to a side table for her husband. Love the sweet bird on top and the color!
Laurie at Heaven’s Walk shared these marvelous, rustic, pink shutters her Dear Husband made for her – lovely – I can tell you all are loving them too!
