Home and Garden Thursday
I hope you’re enjoying these summer days – they’re swiftly passing by! Heat and humdity has returned to the south – how is it in your corner of the world? Last week I checked off a couple things off my ‘to do’ list and added a few.
Here are the posts I shared with you last week:
French Impressions Part V. I continued my Master Bedroom transformation by sewing a curtain panel for one of the windows – the one facing the east. I shared with you why I chose to make a curtain panel instead of replacing the valance that was there with another that would coordinate with the color changes in the room. I also replaced the painting above the fireplace by painting a bouquet of roses with a background that reflects the colors in the room.
I am a great fan of Victoria Magazine – both the classic and the new. In the early years of Victoria Magazine there was a ‘Bliss Team’ Sharing what Bliss means to them – B is for Bliss.
I have been given the opportunity to review House Beautiful Quick Changes~ Fresh Looks For Every Room. This small volume is one that you can carry with you as you shop for your home. It is chock full of tips from decorating experts in simple changes that you can make to your home’s rooms to bring beauty and sparkle – reflecting your tastes! I love it!
I was in a Sunday dinner rut – rotating Roasted Chicken, Roast Beef and Pork Roast for our after church meals. Last Sunday I surprised my family by making one of their favorite dishes, Quick-n-Easy Hearty Lasagna. This recipe is for my children so they can make it on their own.
Thank you all who joined in and visited your fellow participants – I am loving all that you’re sharing!
