Home and Garden Thursday
It’s Fall! Yippee Yahoo! As I type, it is lightly gray, drizzly and in the mid 70’s. Perfect weather for outdoor work, stews and soups, long walks along a country road…What’s your favorite thing to do in the Fall?
Last week I shared quite a lot!
In the Green Room, I decorated with soft colors and with vintage items in mind – this is my retreat and a guest bedroom – soft, romantic and garden cottage style.
I used Parchment paper and typography from The Graphics Fairy to decorate these candles for the season – very easy and versatile.
In the Master Bedroom, the colors of fall are soft and muted in blues, greens, cream and touches of red.
I called this cake Autumn. I told Dearest that this cake has raisins, dried cranberries, applesauce, caramel, spices and pecans…topped with an Apple Cider glaze.
Last Sunday, Downton Abbey returned for British viewers. Fans in the U.S. will have to wait until January 4 – unless you can find it on the Internet!
Spreading Autumn cheer in our home now includes our living room fireplace mantel. I loved using a lot of the colors of Autumn.
