Home and Garden Thursday
I’ve spent most of my free time outdoors this past week. In a couple of weeks there will be a garden tour at my friend’s garden/organic farm. They’re expecting over 300 people, so I thought I should make sure things are spruced up on our end of the town, just in case!
In Garden Journal, I shaed what’s blooming in our garden – it’s really coming to life!
I love taking time for tea – I set up a light tea for us by the La Marne rose – it’s very tall and very old. Love it!
Several states are under severe thunderstorm warnings Tuesday and Wednesday, I took the opportunity to cut a few precious flowers not wanting them to be destroyed by heavy rains! The Duchess, what I call our Peonies, had just arrived!
When the weather turns warm enough, I spend a great deal of time in our garden. I try to use my gloves, but some times you just can’t beat using your hands. The red Georgia clay is pretty drying and harsh on the hands. I love this DIY Gardener’s Hand Scrub, it reminds me of the Mary Kay Satin Hands – it’s so easy to make and would make a fantastic Mother’s Day gift!
Thank you all so much for sharing your marvelous posts with us at Home and Garden Thursday – I do appreciate you!
