Welcome to the 350th
Forrest Gump famously quoted his mother as saying, ‘life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna to get.” Isn’t that so true! As we have grown accustomed to our ’empty nester’ status, Dearest has surprised me with his new found adventurous side. First of all, our 7-Day Cruise last September. Because Dearest is the Pastor of our church, we rarely take a vacation that would carry over Sunday. Also, our lives are so busy that it’s hard to take vacations. We usually combine conferences with vacations. Then, a couple weeks back, Dearest announced that he bid on an RV in an auction. And this was an online/live auction! We weren’t going to be able to be there live so we set our maximum bid and waited. Then we won! Dearest and I have never camped together in our over 30 years together! He said we’re going to have to change our lifestyle! I love life and the wonderful turns and changes – and I so love my life with Dearest! This week we worked some on a kitchen renovation project that was supposed to fall in line with ORC. But our schedules and family commitments didn’t allow. So I gave myself grace. The most important thing is to get the job done and to not stress ourselves out about it. The kitchen will get done and I already know I’ll love it. Dearest, on the other hand wonders how long I’ll be happy with this…I’ll share more soon so you’ll know why!
I love that you share your life and creativity here – I so love how you all join in and visit one another. This community that we have lets me know that despite all the supposed division in this world – we’re all the same – we love our lives – we love our homes – we love our families and we love sharing with one another. I greatly appreciate you!
Here what I shared since the last party:
For this week’s Serene Sunday I shared thoughts on being at peace.
This time of the year is the most wonderful, but also the most busy. It’s difficult to get all those things done and the majority of the gift shopping most likely falls on us. I do the majority of my shopping online. So, if you do too, I found over 100 awesome gift ideas for everyone on your list!
I am a Candle Partner with Antique Candle Works. I met Bethany at Haven and just loved her and her candles. This Fall and Holiday season they’ve created awesome fragrances. These are hand-poured candles in vintage Mason jars. How cool is that! Check out what’s on special for the month of November!
